Speaking at Council, Cabinet and other meetings

The council has procedures in place so that members of the public can speak at committee meetings and this continues to be possible while they are taking place virtually.  There are different rules for the various meetings.

If you address a meeting, your name and the contents of your submission will be recorded in the minutes and on the council’s YouTube channel, both of which are a permanent and public record.

To register your intention to speak at a meeting and for instructions about how to access the virtual meeting, please use our online contact form.  Details about speaking at committees in general are also included in the council's constitution.
