Reporting a safeguarding concern about an adult
All adults (over 18) have a right to live free of abuse, harm and neglect.
Some adults are at greater risk of harm than others. Adults who are considered at higher risk are:
- Adults who have care and support needs
- Adults who are at risk of or experiencing abuse or neglect
- Adults who, because of their care and support needs, are unable to protect themselves from abuse or neglect, or from the risk of abuse or neglect
If you are concerned that an adult may be experiencing abuse, neglect or exploitation, contact Hertfordshire Adult Social Services as soon as possible.
Call Hertfordshire Adult Social Services on 0300 123 4042. Further information is available online.
The Hertfordshire Safeguarding Adults Board works with partner organisations to help ensure that adults at risk can live free from abuse and harassment.
If someone is in immediate danger, a crime is being committed, or urgent medical attention is required, call 999 immediately.
