Watford comes together to support the South-West Herts Great Big Green Week

The Great Big Green Week campaign, led by the Climate Coalition, aims to draw attention to issues and actions at a local level, to improve our natural world and the environment in which we live.

The South-West Herts Great Big Green Week is coordinated by Watford and Three Rivers Friends of the Earth, this is our 6th Great Big Green Week across Three Rivers and Watford. Over 35 local organisations are taking part such as the Random Café, Woodoaks Farm, the RSPB, both Watford and Three Rivers councils’ and Tiata Fahodzi. Across the breadth of events there are activities to support mental and physical wellbeing, offer advice and guidance to help residents save money, fun family activities, and much much more.

Events such as these are essential for raising awareness of the issues our environment faces, and are an accessible and easy way for local people to make a positive difference.

As Anna Addison from Watford and Three Rivers Friends of the Earth says:

We are incredibly excited to be launching our 6th Great Big Green Week. Every year the positive engagement and variety of events from our communities and organisations in Watford and Three Rivers takes our breath away. We love this opportunity to highlight the positive ways everyone can make a difference to planet and pocket and really celebrate our great local organisations. Everyone is welcome.’
