A £600,000 gym refurbishment at Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside is now complete...
Everyone Active manages Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside and Watford Leisure Centre – Central, operating as an agent for Watford Borough Council.
The investment at Woodside has transformed the centre’s fitness facilities, with a wide range of improvements designed to meet the evolving needs of members. It also marks the first major gym upgrade at the site since 2018.
The refurbishment includes a complete gym refresh, featuring brand-new, state-of-the-art Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment.
Every area of the gym has been upgraded, including functional training, free weights, resistance, and cardio zones, providing members with a broader and more versatile range of training options.
A detailed ‘Track My Gym’ utilisation survey was carried out to inform the final layout of the upgraded facility and ensure it reflects how the space is used by the local community.
Findings from the survey helped shape the selection of new equipment, with additional squat racks and benches installed to meet rising demand. New Watt bikes and a wide range of functional fitness equipment have also been introduced, supporting the growing popularity of Hyrox-style training.
