Watford Market’s popular family-friendly ‘Market Lates’ series is back for another exciting year – and 2026 promises to be bigger and better, with each event bringing its own unique theme...
Every Market Lates event will feature a walkabout magician and face painting, ensuring there’s plenty to keep younger visitors entertained alongside the vibrant food and music offer.

Friday 1 May – Spring Market Lates
The season kicks off in style with Spring Market Lates, transforming the market into a colourful, festival-style setting full of energy and activity.
Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of street food favourites and local drink vendors, the perfect way to welcome the warmer months.
Live music from Scary Canary, a Hertfordshire-based five-piece band, will keep the atmosphere lively with feel-good pop and rock hits from the 80s through to today.

Friday 3 July – Summer Market Lates x World Cup
This summer edition celebrates the global excitement of football, bringing a World Cup-themed experience to Watford town centre. Visitors can soak up the tournament buzz with live match updates, football-inspired décor and themed activities.
Alongside the sporting spirit, there will be great food, refreshing drinks and live music from Tidal Basis, an energetic covers band performing a wide mix of genres to keep the crowd entertained well into the evening.

Friday 30 October – Halloween Market Lates
Watford’s most popular Market Lates theme returns – bigger, spookier and more entertaining than ever. Taking place alongside the town-wide Trick or Treat Week, organised by the Watford Town Centre BID, the Halloween edition will feature live music, costume competitions with prizes, and a host of spooky street food treats. Visitors are encouraged to dress up and join in the fun.
