NSL, a leading provider of parking enforcement services in the UK, has donated £1,000 to Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy to support their ongoing work providing comfort and support.
Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy’s trained volunteer Chaplains serve the community day and night, offering a compassionate presence in workplaces, GP surgeries, and across the town centre. The charity also runs the Street Angels service, volunteer night-time chaplains who help keep people safe as they enjoy Watford’s vibrant evening and night-time economy.
While the Chaplaincy is not an advice service, they work closely with a wide range of partners, including Watford Borough Council, Watford BID, local businesses, churches, and community organisations, referring individuals to specialist support where needed. Their work is funded through donations, grants, volunteer time, and support from churches across Watford and surrounding areas.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy plays a vital role supporting people across our town, whether by providing a listening ear, helping those in distress, or ensuring people get home safely on nights out. Their Street Angels are especially valued by residents and businesses. I’m really pleased that NSL has chosen to make this donation to help the Chaplaincy continue their excellent work supporting our community.”
Louise Kerr, NSL Account Director, said: “We are proud to work in partnership with Watford Borough Council and to support the outstanding work of Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy. Their Chaplains and Street Angels provide reassurance, safety, and care to people across Watford, often at the moments when they need it most. We’re delighted to contribute to the continuation of this vital community service.”
