Young people in Watford are once again being given the chance to get active for free this Easter.
Everyone Active’s Watford Leisure Centre – Central and Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside are giving under-19s free access to their gyms and swimming pools from Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2026.
The scheme, which has been running since 2009 and is delivered in partnership with Watford Borough Council, allows young people to use the gym at both leisure centres on selected days.
At Watford Leisure Centre – Central:
- Free gym sessions take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2pm (junior induction), 3pm (free gym session for 11–15-year-olds) and 4pm (free gym session for 16–19-year-olds)
- Free swimming sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm, with sessions available in both the main pool and teaching pool.
At Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside
- Free gym sessions will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2.30pm (junior induction), 3.30pm (free gym session for 11–15-year-olds) and 4.30pm (free gym session for 16–19-year-olds).
- Free swimming sessions will take place on Monday 30 March, Monday 6 April, Wednesday 1 April and Wednesday 8 April, with sessions running throughout the day in both the main pool and teaching pool.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: "I am really pleased that we can once again offer free gym and swimming sessions over the Easter holidays at Everyone Active’s leisure centres. These activities are a great opportunity for our young residents to stay active and have fun, while also bringing the Watford community together and making the most of our excellent local facilities."

All sessions must be booked in advance via the Everyone Active app or website.
