The community fun day marks the completion of the leisure centre’s £3 million refurbishment. The transformed facility now features three high-quality studios, including a cutting-edge spin studio equipped with 28 Keiser bikes and immersive lighting and sound.

Most notably, the gym has been significantly expanded to almost double its previous size and now offers a wider range of state-of-the-art equipment, including enhanced IFI-accredited options to improve accessibility for all users.

Throughout the building, members will also experience fully upgraded changing facilities and refreshed interiors, creating a brighter, more inclusive leisure centre.

Peter Taylor, Elected Mayor of Watford, said: “I’m delighted that a free family fun day is taking place at Watford Central Leisure Centre to celebrate the completion of this fantastic £3 million refurbishment. The transformation of the leisure centre is a huge investment in local health and wellbeing, with a bigger and better gym, high-quality studios and improved accessibility throughout the building.

“This free community fun day is a brilliant opportunity for residents of all ages and abilities to explore the new facilities, try something new, and see first-hand how these improvements will support healthier, happier lives in Watford for years to come.”
