A Valentine’s Day celebration with the Museum of Watford

Love is in the air this Valentine’s Day at North Watford Library!

Join us on Saturday 14 February 2026, 1pm – 3:30pm, for ‘Love From Watford’, a free, family-friendly celebration blending creativity, history and community.

Inspired by Watford’s Victorian romantic icon Longland, whose whimsical love tokens earned the 2024 Herts Museum Object of the Year, this drop-in event offers something special for everyone:

  • Make your own sock teddy bear
  • Craft a Valentine card for someone special
  • Take part in a Valentine traditions treasure hunt
  • Explore Watford’s romantic past and see the Object of the Year and other fascinating love tokens from the Museum of Watford collection

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “Watford boasts a rich and unique heritage. Our Valentine’s Day event ‘Love From Watford’ is the perfect way for families and friends to connect creatively while celebrating our town’s unique history. I’m thrilled to support an event that brings our community together in such a fun and inspiring way.”
