Everyone Active manages Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside and Watford Leisure Centre – Central, operating as an agent for Watford Council with Watford Borough Council.
The project, set to begin on Monday, March 30, 2026, represents the first major refurbishment for the leisure centre since 2018 and includes a complete gym refresh, featuring all new state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment.
Every area, from functional training and free weights to resistance and cardio, will be expanded and improved, offering members a wider range of training options.
Work is set for completion in Spring 2026, allowing the local community to enjoy the enhanced facilities ahead of the busy summer period.
To shape the final layout and ensure the upgraded space is designed around the needs of the local community, a detailed ‘Track My Gym’ utilisation survey is currently underway.
This data-driven approach will help to ensure the equipment mix fully reflects member preferences and supports the most effective use of space.
A temporary gym will be provided in the sports hall to offer a range of equipment to members throughout the works.
