Watford Healthy Hub is proud to host a series of community events as part of the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, running from 25 November to 10 December.
Watford Borough Council is delighted to have received its White Ribbon accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to ending male violence against women. The council proudly supports this initiative, and the Healthy Hub will be co-hosting events with the Women’s Centre and Housing Officers to provide information, advice, and support for anyone affected by or wanting to learn more about this important cause.
Event schedule:
- 25 November, 9am to 11am – Healthy Hub Drop-In Session at Cussans House, The Conservatory, Holywell, with Watford Borough Council and Watford Community Housing Officers.
- 25 November, 10am to 2:30pm – Healthy Hub Drop-In Sessions at Cussans House, The Conservatory, Holywell with the Better Health Bus NHS Health Checks.
- 28 November, 9am to 1pm – Healthy Hub Drop-In Session, Meriden Community Centre, Garsmouth Way with Watford Borough Council and Watford Community Housing Officers, Watford Women’s Centre and Grand Union Community Energy
- 3 December, 10am to 12pm – Tea and Talk, Watford Town Hall with Watford Women’s Centre, British Red Cross and Watford Healthy Hub, Watford Borough Council, Watford Women’s Centre and British Red Cross
- 5 December, 9am to 1pm – Healthy Hub Drop-In Sessions, Meriden Community Centre with Watford Women’s Centre.
These drop-in sessions offer a safe and welcoming space for residents to:
- Connect with the Healthy Hub team and trusted partners
- Access support and advice
- Learn more about local services
