Riverwell, the flagship regeneration scheme being delivered by a Joint Venture (JV) between the council and Kier Property has announced the creation of Riverwell Square, a vibrant new town square...

Riverwell Square will welcome a 131-bedroom Travelodge hotel, a Tesco store and a Greggs bakery, as well as creating a lively public amenity space for residents and visitors.

Red Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the scheme, with works starting this month.  They will bring their expertise in delivering complex urban projects to the build, ensuring the creation of a high-quality and attractive destination.

Part of the wider Watford Riverwell masterplan, Riverwell Square will provide a modern, accessible space that combines retail, leisure and hospitality. It is designed to encourage footfall, improve connectivity and create a sense of place within Watford’s largest regeneration project.
