Residents can now get a closer look at the transformation of Watford’s Town Hall Quarter through a new virtual walkthrough video and eye-catching hoarding artwork unveiled around the site...
The immersive digital walkthrough brings to life the vision for the area, showing how the Town Hall and its surroundings will look once the regeneration is complete. Created by Digital Urban in partnership with Watford Borough Council, the 3D walkthrough is freely accessible online via watfordtownhallquarter.com/video.
Meanwhile, the new hoarding artwork surrounding the site also celebrates the progress being made and highlights the range of projects under way. Most of the panels include QR codes linking directly to the 3D walkthrough, giving passers-by a glimpse of what’s to come.
The Town Hall Quarter is central to the council’s ambition to honour Watford’s heritage while creating a modern civic and cultural hub. The Town Hall itself will be transformed into a welcoming community space, complete with a café, an expanded Museum of Watford, and an Innovation Hub to support local entrepreneurs and businesses. These developments mark the next major phase of the Town Hall Quarter programme, following the recent reopening of Watford Colosseum.
Through a joint venture with Mace Developments, the wider project will also bring new homes, shops, cafés, eateries, and a health facility to the area, creating a vibrant, sustainable community that enhances Watford’s heritage landmarks, including the Grade II-listed Town Hall, Colosseum, and Library.
