Residents of Watford and beyond came together on Saturday 11 October 2025 for the Chairman’s Charity Walk.
The walk was sponsored by Murrill Construction and was a relaxed and sociable morning raising money for three fantastic local projects.
The walk brought the community together in Cassiobury Park, with participants setting off from the car park at 10:30am and making their way through the beautiful green space to finish at the Hub, where they enjoyed well-earned refreshments and good company.
Chairman of Watford Borough Council, Councillor Favour Ezeifedi, said: “I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part in the Charity Walk, whether you walked, donated, or helped organise the event. It was truly inspiring to see so many people come together in support of our local community. The money raised will make a real difference to people’s lives in Watford, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.”
Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of those who took part, vital funds have already been raised for:
- Eternity Community CIC – supporting local families and communities.
- One Vision’s Macmillan Cancer Champions Project – providing crucial support to people affected by cancer.
- Watford African Caribbean Association’s Thrive Youth Project – empowering young people to reach their full potential.
The donation page remains open, and there's still time to contribute. Every donation, no matter the size, will help support these amazing local organisations and the life-changing work they do.
It’s not too late to make a difference.
