Healthy hub

Are you thinking about quitting smoking? Stoptober is the perfect time, and Watford’s Healthy Hub is here to help residents make the change for good.

Stoptober is a nationwide campaign encouraging people to stop smoking for 28 days during October. Research shows that if smokers can manage a month without cigarettes, they are five times more likely to quit for good. It’s a supportive, motivating initiative that gives people a clear goal and a strong sense of community.

The Healthy Hub offered free stop-smoking services, expert guidance and extra support to empower people to take control of their health. Whether this is through one-to-one advice, group sessions, helpful resources, the Hub is here to cheer you on every step of the way.

The Healthy Hub hosts a variety of welcoming drop-in sessions covering all aspects of health and wellbeing, including free stop-smoking support. Residents can drop in at a location convenient for them to access expert guidance, resources, and friendly advice:

  • Tuesdays, 10am to 2pm – Cussans House (The Conservatory), 13 Cussans House, Croxley View, WD18 6PJ
  • Wednesdays, 10am to 2pm – Watford Town Hall, Hempstead Road, Watford, WD17 3EX
  • Fridays, 9am to 1pm – Meriden Foodbank, Meriden Community Centre, Garsmouth Way, WD25 9ET

These drop-in sessions offer a welcoming and confidential space where you can access support across a wide range of areas, including free stop-smoking services, health advice, and guidance to help you live a healthier lifestyle.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “Quitting smoking can be challenging, but Watford’s Healthy Hub is here to make it easier.
