Watford Town Centre ‘Trick or Treat week’

Halloween will soon be upon us, and Watford Town Centre BID are delighted to announce the return of ‘Trick or Treat week’ activities to bring spine-chilling fun for all ages from 27 Oct - 31 Oct...

From 27 October - 31 October, you can TREAT the family to some half term Halloween fun with a trail around Watford Town Centre!  Trick or TREAT trail – returning for its second year - will allow the little ones in the family to explore our town for inflatable pumpkins to win sweets and be in with the chance of winning a £100 Watford Gift Card!

The trail is completely FREE to attend, simply wander through Watford High Street and The Parade in search of the large inflatable pumpkins.  They will be displayed in shop windows during half-term week from 10am – 4pm.  Attendees are encouraged to get in the Halloween spirit by completing the trail in their best fancy dress costumes.

When the search party finds an inflatable pumpkin, simply visit the shop or venue where the pumpkin is displayed and say, “Trick or Treat!” to a member of staff to receive your sweet treat.  There’s also the chance to win a £100 Watford Gift Card for participating and capturing selfies with the pumpkins - head to the ‘What’s On’ page of www.watfordtowncentre.com for all the ghastly details.

Then on Friday 31 October, TRICK yourself into an enchanting evening of thrills, frights and fire.  Watford Town Centre presents the return of our showcase event with the spooktacular TRICK or Treat show on The Parade, by the pond, from 5:00pm – 6:00pm.  Bring your friends and family along and be prepared for an evening of FREE street performances including Halloween-themed dances, an enthralling magic show and a phenomenal fire-breathing act.

This spectacular event is suitable for all ages; attendees are encouraged to rock up in their best Halloween costumes to be in with the chance of winning prizes!  Full details of the brand-new TRICK or Treat show can be found by visiting the ‘What’s On’ page of www.watfordtowncentre.com.

Kara Mesiano, Watford Town Centre BID’s manager, said: “We are delighted to bring back Trick or Treat week to provide added fun and entertainment during half term and spooky season.

The Trick or Treat show will include high-level street performances from West Herts College students that we hope will thrill and excite the watching audience, concluding with a show-stopping fire breathing act.  The Trick or Treat trail is a lovely activity for families with younger children to have some fun during half term week.  It’s a fun twist on trick or treating in your residential area; you can now do it in town centre shops!

We encourage all participants to make a day of it and discover the brilliant shopping, food, drink and leisure options that Watford Town Centre has to offer.”

Following on from the TRICK or Treat show, Watford Market will be serving up spooktacular tricks, treats and devilishly good street food on Friday 31 October, as Market Lates returns for Halloween, promising a frightfully fun night from 6–10pm.

Organised by Watford Borough Council and Saunders Markets Ltd, the event invites night-time revellers to eat, drink and be scary with family-friendly entertainment, including live music, free face painting (6–8pm), a roaming magician and plenty of photo opportunities.
