Watford’s thriving business community took centre stage at the recent SME Hertfordshire Business Awards, with a large number of local companies recognised for their excellence, innovation, and impact.
From innovative start-ups to established names, Watford businesses picked up an impressive number of awards and finalist spots at the West Herts Chamber of Commerce SME Awards, held earlier this week. The awards showcased the strength and diversity of businesses in the town, many of whom are also signatories of the Watford Business Pledge, an initiative to promote ethical and sustainable business practices locally.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: "It was fantastic to see so many Watford business winners recognised at the West Herts Chamber of Commerce SME Awards yesterday. Our town is home to a thriving business community, and it's inspiring to see their hard work and innovation recognised. Watford continues to be a hub of enterprise and creativity, and we remain fully committed to supporting our local businesses in every way we can."
Cherie Norris, Head of Economic Development at Watford Borough Council, added: “Watford is home to a diverse and successful business community, and these awards are a brilliant recognition of their dedication and innovation. At Watford Borough Council, we are always ready to support businesses to grow, relocate or set up in our town. Whether you’re a new start-up or an established company looking to expand, we’re here to help – get in touch to see what support we can offer.”
Saffron Johnson, Lead of Watford Chamber of Commerce said: “We are proud to see so many Watford businesses recognised at this year’s SME Awards. This event is a celebration of successful small and medium enterprises across the county and a testament that Hertfordshire really is the county of opportunity. Do get in touch to find out how you can get involved with Hertfordshire's thriving business community.”
