Residents of Watford and beyond are invited to put on their walking shoes for the Chairman’s Charity Walk, sponsored by Murrill Construction, taking place on Saturday 11 October 2025.
The community walk will run from 10:30am – 12:30pm, meeting at the car park in Cassiobury Park and finishing at the Hub for refreshments. It promises to be a relaxed and sociable morning in one of Watford’s most beautiful green spaces, while raising vital funds for three local projects:
- Eternity Community CIC – supporting local families and communities
- One Vision’s Macmillan Cancer Champions Project – providing crucial support to people affected by cancer
- Watford African Caribbean Association’s Thrive Youth Project – empowering young people to reach their full potential
Entry costs just £5 per person, or an additional £10 if you’d like to receive a charity t-shirt to wear on the day. All proceeds will go directly to the three charities.
The Chairman’s Charity Walk is a great opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy fresh air and gentle exercise, and make a positive difference to local lives.
Councillor Favour Ezeifedi, Chairman of Watford Borough Council, said: “I am delighted to be hosting this year’s Charity Walk and I encourage as many people as possible to join us. Not only will it be a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning, but every step we take will help raise money for three fantastic local organisations that make a real difference in Watford. Whether you come with family, friends or on your own, you will be helping to support our community.”
Don’t miss the chance to step up for these brilliant causes – and enjoy a fun, friendly Saturday morning with friends, family and neighbours.
