Watford Borough Council is proud to welcome back Herts Pride which will be returning to Cassiobury Park for the ninth time.
Each year this event attracts thousands of visitors, uniting our community in a day that celebrates diversity, promotes inclusivity and offers a safe, welcoming space for everyone to come together.
Herts Pride will take place on Saturday 30 August 2025 from 12pm to 10pm. The theme of this year’s Pride is ‘connections’, which celebrates the power of bringing people together, fostering a sense of belonging, and embracing the freedom to be your authentic self. The event is set to be an unforgettable and cheeky celebration, featuring a headline performance by The Cheeky Girls along with a host of other fantastic acts.
The fun doesn’t stop there, there is a CeX Community Stage with grassroots performers, the ever-popular dog show, a bustling Market Zone, as well as a Health & Wellbeing Marquee offering advice and information, fairground rides, and plenty of food and drink available at the Food Court and licensed bars.
Tickets are available online and at the event, with prices as follows: Adult (18+) £16.50, Young Person (13–17) £11, Family Ticket (two adults and two young people) £38.50, and free entry for children under 13 with a paying adult. Visitors with disabilities pay for their ticket and receive a complimentary carer wristband. (Price includes booking fees)
When it comes to championing diversity, Watford has been a proud leader of this, from initiatives like Ask for Clive, which encourages venues to stand up against discrimination, to the amazing volunteer-led group Proud Watford, which organises inclusive events throughout the year.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “Herts Pride is a joyful celebration and a chance for people to come together. I am pleased that we are supporting it once again and to stand alongside our LGBTQ+ residents.
“Sadly, in recent years we have seen some people trying to stir up hate and division and we have seen an increase in the number of sexual orientation hate crimes nationally. I want Watford and our country to be a place without prejudice, where people are free from fear or discrimination. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Cassiobury Park for a day full of colour, pride, and celebration.”
Tyson Martin, Herts Pride Chair and Event Director, said: “As a born-and-bred Watfordian, I’m proud that my hometown hosts Hertfordshire’s county Pride in the wonderful Cassiobury Park. This year’s theme of ‘connections’ is all about belonging, diversity, and community — the true spirit of Pride. We can’t wait to welcome The Cheeky Girls as our headline act, who will bring the fun, the energy, and the cheekiness that will make Herts Pride 2025 unforgettable. My thanks go to Watford Borough Council and all our amazing partners, whose support makes this celebration possible.”
To help everyone enjoy Cassiobury Park, please walk, cycle, use public transport, or hire a Beryl Bike where possible, leaving parking for those who need it most. With great transport links, greener travel eases congestion and makes the journey part of the experience.
