Watford welcomes back Big Jiveswing Festival for 10th anniversary

Jiveswing

One of the largest free UK Jazz festivals will be returning to Watford featuring some of the best internationally acclaimed musicians, bands and dancers.

The Big Jiveswing Festival, now running its 10th year in partnership with Jiveswing.com, will be held at Cassiobury Park on Sunday 30 July from 12pm – 6:15pm. Our award-winning park will host incredible acts as well as live cabarets, dance classes for children and adults, professional dance displays, vintage cloth stalls, plus much more. There will also be a variety of other food and drink vendors on site.

This year there will even be an area especially for children to enjoy with ice cream, popcorn and candy floss stalls.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “I am excited that Jiveswing will once again be a feature in our summer Big events programme. It is really important that we provide a range of free events that bring our community together. Jiveswing gets bigger and better every year and I know how much joy it brings to everyone who comes to experience the captivating acts and particularly to those who get involved.”

JiveSwing.Com spokeswoman, Charlotte Middlemiss said: “We are so excited to be working with the council on the 10th anniversary of the JiveSwing Festival. It’s been nice to see so many people from the local community and around the UK, coming together for this festival each year.”
