Sky Ride is back in Watford

The summer Sky Ride is back in Watford and is here to stay. The next Sky Ride will take place 31 July at Chaffinch Lane, at 10am for two hours thirty minutes.

The ride will begin at Ebury way and finish at Watford High Street but everyone will meet at the Hub.

This ride to St Albans will be an exciting and scenic journey as it goes through North Watford Allotments and the award winning Cheslyn Gardens.

It’s going be adventurous so everyone taking part must have road tyres bikes and all under 18’s must wear a helmet to ensure they are safe on the roads.

If you are driving to the Hub, there is a car park at the hub and if you are travelling by public transport the nearest station is Watford Metropolitan Station. The bikes will leave at the same time, you’ve got to get there on time so you don’t get left behind.

Elected Mayor Dorothy Thornhill said: “It’s great to see how many take part in the Sky Ride. Every time I hear about how people are so motivated to do it again after their first ride. It’s not just about staying fit it’s about having fun and this ride has a bit of both. It’s a wonderful idea.”

The next rides coming up are:

Date: Sunday 7 August at 10am. Meet at the Hub

Date: Sunday 14 August 10am Meet at Watford- Rugby Club  (ABC ride)
