Liberal Democrats Take 25 Seats in Local Elections

The Liberal Democrats have a large majority following all out local elections. Labour won a total of 11 seats.

In all out elections, the Liberal Democrats won 25 seats giving them a large majority. Labour finished in second place with 11 seats. Elected Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill said: "I am delighted to have this endorsement for all the work we have done in the town and our vision for Watford's future. We will now be working hard with our partners to make Watford an even better place for people to live."

Turn out was 36.71 per cent.
