Enter a new world of colour and light, with Watford Borough Council’s Colourscape.

A unique labyrinth of 70 interlinked chambers, Colourscape is an interactive event that explores light and sound like never before, using a myriad of musicians and dancers to interact with visitors.

Colourscape will be held in Cassiobury Park between 21 and 30 August. Weekdays will feature resident-musician Michael Ormiston, who will serenade guests with his family-friendly music. On weekends, there will be a selection of ensembles, dancers, innovative instruments and computerised music to enrapture guests.

Colourscape will feature incredible artists from all across the UK, including Hurdy-Gurdy, Stevie Wishart, Sylvia Hallett and HYPERYAK, who will be performing over the course of the event. The full schedule can be found at the Summer of Fun website.

Elected mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said, “It has been great to see so many people out enjoying this year’s Summer of Fun. Colourscape is our final event of the summer season, which provides opportunities for families and friends to enjoy fantastic performance art and music in a unique setting. I would encourage everyone to make the most of this new event and the final days of summer."

Colourscape will be open from 12-5pm Monday to Friday, and from 12-6pm on weekends. Tickets cost £5 per adult, and £3 for those under 16 – and will need to be bought at the entrance. The event will run a virtual-queuing system, where visitors will be allocated a time-slot when arriving at Colourscape, avoiding the need to queue. For those who are particularly sensitive to crowds, including those with autism and other similar conditions, the first and last 30 minutes of each day are the most quiet.
