Watford Borough Council is delighted to announce the return of Hertfordshire's largest free fireworks display at Cassiobury Park on Saturday 7 November 2026.

One of the town's most popular annual events, it brings thousands of residents and visitors together for an evening of live entertainment, family fun and a spectacular fireworks display. Funded by Watford Borough Council and provided free of charge for the community, the event offers families and friends the chance to enjoy a memorable night out without the cost of a ticket.

The festivities begin at 6pm, with Vibe 107.6FM and local band The Nevers providing live entertainment to warm up the crowds ahead of the main event. The spectacular fireworks display will light up the night sky from 7:30pm.

Visitors can enjoy a range of food and drink stalls, children's funfair rides, bungee trampolines and a bouncy slide, making it a fantastic evening out for families, friends and residents of all ages. Visitors are advised to bring cash with them on the night.

As always, the event will also support local good causes. Watford Lions Club and other volunteers will be collecting donations throughout the evening to raise money for local charities, including the Chairman's nominated charities, Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care and Hayaat Welfare Trust, alongside Watford Lions Club and Watford Community Fund.

Visitors can make cash or contactless donations to collectors on the night or donate online via QR codes displayed at entrances around the event site. Every penny raised will go directly to supporting local charitable causes.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “The Cassiobury Park Fireworks are one of the highlights of our community calendar and a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and enjoy a free evening of entertainment. We're proud that Watford Borough Council funds this event for the community, making it accessible to everyone. We're also grateful to the Watford Lions Club and all the volunteers who help raise vital funds for local charities. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps make a real difference to people in Watford.”

Visitors are advised that there will be no general parking available in the Gade Avenue car park from 3pm on the day of the event, with only a limited number of Blue Badge spaces available on a first come, first served basis. Parking restrictions will also be in place on roads surrounding the park between 7am and 11pm. Attendees are encouraged to use town centre car parks or travel by public transport where possible.
