Families in Watford are being invited to take part in a range of free activities this summer as the popular Wat’s On holiday programme returns for the school holidays.
Running from Monday 27 July to Friday 28 August 2026, the programme offers fun, challenging and engaging activities for children and young people aged 5 to 15, with sessions taking place in parks, open spaces and indoor venues across Watford.
Delivered in partnership with Bowerbirdy Watford, the Wat’s On programme provides a range of creative, active and educational experiences designed to help young people stay active, try new things and spend time with friends during the holidays. All sessions are led by trained and experienced coaches, artists and facilitators, providing a safe and supportive environment for participants.
Activities include sports, arts and crafts, adventure play, coding and gaming, science, food technology and more. The programme encourages creativity, teamwork and problem solving, while helping children build confidence, develop new skills and support their physical and mental wellbeing.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: "We're delighted to see the return of Wat's On this summer, providing children and young people with opportunities to stay active, be creative and explore new interests during the school holidays.
"The programme offers a wide variety of activities in a safe and supportive environment, helping young people develop new skills, make friends and create lasting memories."
All activities are free to attend, but places must be booked in advance. Families are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
