Young people across Watford are being invited to take part in a unique and inclusive creative project celebrating the culture and atmosphere of Watford Football Club.
The Sounds of Watford Football Club is a new collaboration between the Museum of Watford, Herts Inclusive Theatre, and Watford Football Club, offering an exciting opportunity for young people aged 11–16 with disabilities to explore creativity, build confidence, and have their voices heard.
The project is being delivered as part of the Museum of Watford, which is made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players.
This interactive and immersive programme will take place at Vicarage Road Stadium over three afternoons and will provide participants with the chance to:
- Explore the sounds and culture associated with Watford FC
- Develop drama, performance, and creative communication skills
- Build confidence through collaborative creative activities
- Create original material using movement, voice, sound, and storytelling
- Work together to devise a short performance piece, which will be voice or video recorded
- Celebrate individual contributions in a supportive and inclusive environment
The sessions will run on:
- 4, 5 and 6 August 2026
- 1:00pm – 5:00pm daily
As the sessions build towards a final creative piece, participants are encouraged to attend all three days. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The programme is designed to be fully inclusive, welcoming young people with a wide range of access needs. Organisers are committed to creating a supportive, accessible and enjoyable environment where everyone can take part and contribute.
