Herts Summer Parks returns this August for 2026!

Herts Summer Parks

Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership, in collaboration with Hertfordshire County Council and Watford Borough Council, is delighted to announce the return of Herts Summer Parks this August 2026.

Following an incredible summer in 2025, which saw over 1,000 young people take part in free activities, this year’s programme is set to build on that success. It continues its mission to provide unique, accessible and affordable opportunities for young people aged 12–16.

Running from the 3– 21 August across five parks in Hertfordshire, the programme will once again be delivered by Sporting Inspirations CIC. It will feature a range of activities shaped by young people themselves. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with local support services and receive a free food voucher, redeemable at a nearby vendor at each location.

Key details:

  • Completely free for young people aged 12–16
  • Activities change weekly but include inflatables, lyrical writing, climbing, graffiti art, football, jewellery making, archery, gaming/VR and more
  • Free food vouchers redeemable at local vendors
  • Locations across Borehamwood, Waltham Cross, Watford, Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage
  • Fully staffed by trained youth leaders from Sporting Inspirations CIC

Locations and dates:

Watford
Thursdays (6th, 13th, 20th August)
King George V Playing Fields, Tolpits Lane, WD18 9QD
