As part of Watford’s journey to becoming a brighter, more vibrant and community focused town, Watford Borough Council – in partnership with Intechnology Smart Cities – has launched a free WiFi service and official mobile application for the town.

WiFi network

This open WiFi network is truly free for all users and has no restrictions on time, with fast internet coverage provided in the open air in the town centre for residents and visitors seeking to log-on while ‘on the go’.

Connecting to the network is easy:

  1. Turn on WiFi on your phone or mobile device.
  2. Look for WatfordFreeWiFi in your list of available WiFi networks
  3. Select the network and wait for the pop-up window.
  4. Log-on with either your Facebook details, or by entering some basic info.
