Get a device

There are a number of initiatives providing tablets, computers and phones to people who need them for important things such as attending school, finding a job or connecting to loved ones. For the most part you will be able to access this equipment through specific organisations or services depending on what kind of support is needed.

Staying Connected

W3RT’s ‘Staying Connected’ digital inclusion project is aimed at supporting people to get online and develop their digital skills to improve their health and wellbeing.

Beneficiaries of the scheme can receive a refurbished laptop, tablet or mobile phone to get onto the internet.

See the Staying Connected section for more information and to apply to the scheme.

Laptops 4 Learning

Laptops 4 Learning work with large organisations, taking their surplus tech, repurposing it, and distributing it through charities, and local authorities to those who need it most.

Watford Jobcentre

If you are a jobseeker claiming Universal Credit, to assist with your job search the Jobcentre may be able to fund a device. Contact your work coach for further information.

Schools

If you have a child in school, please discuss your child’s requirements with the school as they may have devices available.
