Report anti-social behaviour

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) is any action that is done by any person that has a negative impact on any other individual, the community or the environment.

If you feel that you have been a victim of ASB, the first thing to do is contact the police online or through the non-emergency number 101, which is staffed 24-hours a day.

Once reported, an incident of ASB is escalated to the most appropriate authority so that the issue can be dealt with by either:

  • Watford Borough Council
  • The police
  • Register of Social Landlords (RSL)

Every month representatives from these groups meet with a wide range of other agencies working to deliver community safety at the Community Protection Group.

A computer system called 'Safety Net' is used by the group to gain a full understanding of ongoing ASB cases. Making it possible to see who is taking action and at what time and if other agencies should be involved.

Thanks to the reports from the public and the collaborative efforts of these agencies, recorded incidents of ASB in the borough have reduced by more than 45% per cent in the last five years.
