If you've already contacted the council about a problem and you feel we haven't dealt with it properly, you can make a complaint.
Watford council online complaint form
Most complaints are satisfactorily dealt with at the first stage.
It's a way you can be heard, and we can answer your questions.
We usually respond to you 10 working days after you've completed your complaint form (you'll be contacted if it'll take more than 10 days)
To make a complaint, simply fill out the online complaints form
If you are not satisfied with the response at stage one, you can ask for the complaint to be reviewed again.
You must do this within 15 working days of receiving your response to your stage 1 compliant.
In your request for review you need to:
- make it clear what aspects of the first response you were not satisfied with
- what outcome you would like to see
You'll normally get a response within ten working days from the date we receive your complaint.
You can also ask to have a meeting to discuss your complaint.
Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman
If you've gone through both complaint stage still think we've not dealt with your complaint properly, you can contact the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman for an external review.
