If a building poses a danger to the safety of the public, the Council will take action to remove the danger.
The Council also has the legal power to pursue owners to repair faults with buildings which might pose a danger to the public.
Where there is an immediate danger to the public the Council will act to either isolate or remove the danger and can charge associated costs to the building owner.
