Watford Colosseum
After careful restoration and modernisation, it reopened in 2025 as a world-class venue with improved facilities, better accessibility and far greater energy efficiency. Managed by leading operator AEG, the Colosseum is once again welcoming audiences, performers and visitors from Watford and far beyond.
Reopened on 29 August with a sold-out Ocean Colour Scene show and a programme featuring Level 42, Ricky Gervais, Jake Bugg, The Stranglers, Gary Delaney & Friends, Strictly’s Legends Return, David Essex and Hertfordshire’s own Enter Shikari, performing their only UK headline date of 2025, more than 20,000 people attended the opening run, with demand remaining high.
Its success has shown what is possible when heritage buildings are treated with care and ambition, and it set the standard for what comes next.
