Watford Colosseum offers a limited number of community hire opportunities each year.
These give eligible community organisations the opportunity to hire the venue at a reduced rate for an event that benefits Watford residents.
Who can apply
You can apply if you are a:
- not-for-profit organisation
- registered charity
- community interest company
- community group
Eligibility
Your organisation and event must:
- have a clear connection to Watford
- mainly benefit Watford residents
- provide a clear community benefit
- add to the range of community events supported through the scheme
- be suitable to run safely and practically at Watford Colosseum
How to apply
Complete our short online form to submit an expression of interest. Applications can be submitted throughout the year and will be considered subject to availability.
Submitting the form is not a confirmed booking. All expressions of interest will be reviewed against the eligibility and assessment criteria.
How we assess your expression of interest
We will consider:
- how the event will benefit Watford residents
- its social, cultural or charitable value
- whether it adds variety to the community events supported
- whether your organisation can deliver the event successfully
- whether the reduced rate is needed for the event to take place
- whether your organisation has received a community rate in the current or previous year
We will also consider whether a suitable date is available, whether the event can be accommodated safely and whether it would affect commercial bookings
What happens next
We will contact you with the outcome. If your expression of interest is approved, you will have 10 working days to accept the offer and progress the booking arrangements with AEG.
