Bidding for available housing association homes

Applying to go on the housing register

Housing Register applicants should register on our Housing Connections Portal

Finding a home

Once you have been accepted onto the Housing Register you will be able to bid for available housing association homes in Watford advertised on the Home Connections website.

Homes are allocated to the bidder on the Housing Register with the highest housing need.

How to bid

If you find a home you like you can bid for it. There is no money involved in placing a bid. Bidding for a home that has been advertised is actually a way of telling the council that you are interested in being considered for that home.

You can bid for available housing association homes in Watford:

  • Online - you will need to login with your Home Connections Household ID number and password
  • By telephone 01923 278585.  The Customer Services staff will help you place your bid online.
  • Or, in person by coming in to the Customer Services Centre, in the Town Hall, where a member of the Customer Services team will help you place your bid online. Please note the opening days and times of the Town Hall.
