The self-build and custom housebuilding register is a list of individuals or associations who want to purchase a serviced plot of land to build a home in Watford.

How to be included on the self-build register
To have your details added to the self-build and custom housebuilding register, you need to complete the Watford right-to-build application form (PDF 321.3 kB)
Eligibility criteria
To apply to register to build your own property, you must be:
- aged 18 or older
- a British citizen, a national of an EEA state other than the United Kingdom, or a national of Switzerland
- looking (either alone or with others) to obtain a serviced plot of land to build a house to occupy as your sole or main residence
To register as an association, you must appoint a member or officer as a contact between the association and Watford Borough Council.
