ArrivaClick launch delayed
Given recent government guidance to avoid social gatherings, practice more rigorous social distancing and avoid use of public transport unless absolutely necessary, Watford Borough Council, in partnership with ArrivaClick, will now launch the town’s demand responsive service later in the year.
Elected Mayor, Peter Taylor said: “Whilst it is disappointing not to be launching this month, we need to make sure we are following guidance and doing all we can to keep people in Watford safe and healthy. The good news is that everything is in place to introduce this exciting new way to get around the town once the time is right. We will follow closely the expert advice about using public transport and keep people posted in the weeks ahead."
Adam Toone, Business Development Director, said: ‘’ The safety of our staff and customers is paramount and in light of current circumstances, we don’t believe this is the right time to be launching our ArrivaClick Watford service. Our team have worked hard over the last 6 months, which will enable us to launch the service when the time is right. In the meantime, we’ll be closely following public health guidelines and doing everything we can to keep key services running. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep everyone in the know on the new launch date. ”
