Young people are invited to keep active for free this Easter

Young people in Watford are being given the chance to get active for free this Easter at the town’s two leisure centres.

Everyone Active’s Watford Central and Watford Woodside leisure centres are inviting under 19s to keep active during the school break with free access to their gyms and swimming pools from Monday 8 to Thursday 18 April.

The scheme, which is being delivered in partnership with Watford Borough Council, allows young people to use the centres’ gyms on Mondays and Wednesdays between 2 to 4pm following an initial induction.

Swim 4 Everyone sessions will also be free to attend at Watford Central every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the holiday, and every Monday and Wednesday at Watford Woodside.

Gary Foley, Everyone Active Contract Manager, said: “After the large investment in refurbishing the centres I’m pleased we can open the doors in this way. We’re passionate about offering more opportunities for local residents to get active and improve their wellbeing, and this initiative will ensure young people benefit specifically.”
