Watford Borough Council’s Big Wordfest returns

The Big Wordfest launches this Saturday at Watford Museum

Published: Tuesday, 19th March 2019

Come along to Watford Museum for the launch of Watford Borough Council’s Big Wordfest celebration on Saturday 23 March from 11am to 4pm.

There’ll be free face painting and you’ll also have the opportunity to complete a number of activities and tasks throughout the day with characters from the Imajica theatre company.

The Big Wordfest fun continues in April with Easter holiday workshops. Families are invited to come along to interactive storytelling sessions at the Museum on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 April at 11am. It will cost £1 per child but no booking is necessary – so please just turn up!

Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “Our festival to celebrate all things literary is returning. The Big Wordfest is a great free event for everyone – and we’re sure that you’ll have an enjoyable time.”
