Watford Borough Council is offering Watford sports clubs funding towards courses being organised as part of Herts Sports Partnership’s Herts Coach Education Week and Workforce Development Month.
More than 90 courses are available through the Herts Coach Education Week and Workforce Development Month programmes. Many of the courses are free or low cost. However, sometimes the cost of attending courses can be a barrier. Why not have a look at the programmes and find out if there’s something you’d like to try out? Watford Borough Council is offering funding towards the cost of these courses. Please email Sports Development Officer Caroline Roche or phone 01923 278242 to find out if one of our bursaries could help you.
The funding could go towards a three-day inclusive dance training course, being held at the Wheelchair Dance Sport Association office in St Albans Road, Watford, from Monday 12 February. The course will run from 10am to 4pm each day, usually costing £460 in total. The course is part of Herts Coach Education Week, running from Saturday 10 February to Sunday 18 February.
A supervision and appraisals course from the Hertfordshire Community Foundation will run at Watford’s Leavesden Green Community Hub from 9.30am to 1pm on Monday 22 February. This event – costing between £25 and £70 – is part of Workforce Development Month, running throughout February.
Herts Coach Education Week and Workforce Development Month are organised as part of the Hertfordshire Year of Physical Activity 2018. The initiative is being led by Hertfordshire Sports and Physical Activity Partnership (HSP), Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) and Hertfordshire Association of Cultural Officers (HACO). It is supported by the county’s 10 borough and district councils, including Watford.
