Watford Borough Council’s Museum is hosting two free activities to keep children entertained this half-term

Come along to Watford Museum this half-term for some fun and free activities.

Published: Wednesday, 31st January 2018

The first is aimed at young budding artists. On Friday 16 February, from 11am to 1pm, children will be supported in using their creativity to draw flowers, leaves and museum objects. Artist Claire McDermott will be on hand during the event to guide and inspire children to use their imagination.

The second event is a football-themed trail hunt, which runs from Thursday 15 February to Saturday 17 February during museum opening hours to coincide with the Graham Taylor exhibition. Children aged from six to 11 will be encouraged to use their detective skills to complete a Watford Football Club inspired activity, which will earn them a mini treat!

Both events are free to take part in and require no booking. Please just come along on the day and ask at reception.

Councillor Karen Collett, Cabinet Member for Community said: “I am delighted that Watford Museum is holding these free events for local children to attend over half-term. Whichever event you choose to come along to, there is something for everyone. We hope there’ll be a great turnout, so see you there!”

For more information on these activities, visit the Watford Museum Facebook page.

Watford Museum is open from Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Admission to Watford Museum is free.
