One area of work that we deliver is looking at ways to help residents improve their housing condition or adapt their homes.
Housing is a big issue nationally at the moment. Although a lot of current headlines focus on building new homes, 85 per cent of England’s houses were built before 1990. It is, therefore, just as important to recognise that the poor conditions of current housing can impact on people’s well-being, particularly those that are vulnerable through poor health or low incomes.
Whilst what we are able to do can only tackle some of these issues, we do want to make sure our limited resources are focused on the right things that make a difference to local people.
This short survey is one way we are seeking to understand the views of our communities that will then help shape the future direction and policy for Watford.
