Watford Borough Council made sure children got an extra special treat for their summer holidays by staging three free Playdays in a row in open spaces across the area.
The events – aimed at children aged five to 15 and their families – featured fun activities like an inflatable assault course, ropes challenge, bouncy castle, mini-quasar and Lego people. Watford FC mascot Harry the Hornet popped along for one of the Playdays too.
Its Playdays were on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday last week. The fun days were at Callowland Recreation Ground, Harebreaks Adventure Playground and Harwoods Adventure Playground.
Elected Mayor of Watford Dorothy Thornhill said: “Modern day life can be busy and finding the time to just have fun can be difficult. The Playday events help our families come together, have fun and enjoy each other’s company.”
