Santa Claus himself will be among the VIPs offering fun and frolics for all the family during Watford Borough Council’s Christmas at Cassiobury on Sunday 11 December from 1pm to 5pm.
This fantastic festive event will include attractions for everybody from live music and present stalls to activities for children.
A donkey and sheep from Cassiobury Farm will be popping by to say hello, while there will be horse and sleigh rides for just £1 per child. Children will be able to deliver their Christmas letters directly into the hands of Santa Claus during the event from 1pm to 5pm in the area near The Cha Café.
There will be a variety of stalls where presents will be sold by local traders, with musical entertainment from the Watford Rock Choir. There’s also the chance to make recycled Christmas decorations with the Watford Recycling Arts Project (WRAP). The event is completely free and there’s no need to book in advance to attend.
Deputy Mayor and Portfolio Holder, Cllr Peter Taylor, said: “We love putting on magical experiences like this – and what better place for it than Watford’s most treasured beauty spot? Our £6.6m restoration of Cassiobury Park – made possible through cash from the Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery funds as well as Watford Borough Council – will ensure it can be preserved for future generations.”
