Watford’s Big Screen on the Beach ends this Bank Holiday weekend and it is going out with a bang.
To end the Big Event there are heaps of activities and movies lined up to make sure that this weekend is a memorable one.
The Big Screen is showing a variety of movies, including the 70s classics Grease on 27 August and Jaws on 28 August. There will even be some newer blockbuster hits, such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be shown on the 29 August, and the marmalade-loving Paddington will feature on 28 August.
Whilst you are kicking back at the beach, there are also some fun and unique activities over the Bank Holiday weekend for both grownups and younglings. There are first aid and survival classes on 27 August, since it never hurts to be prepared, and golf competitions on the same day, in case you are looking for something a little sportier. For those who like to clown around there is also a circus workshop on 29 August, so you can hone those juggling skills and take in a circus show.
Watford’s Elected Mayor, Dorothy Thornhill, said: ‘I am thrilled with how the event has gone so far. Everyone has been getting involved and we’ve seen families flooding the town centre till 10pm on some nights. It is really going to end on a high note, so let’s just hope that the sun holds out.’
