The Liberal Democrats won 25 seats at this years local election making them the largest party in the council with a majority of 8.
In all out elections the Liberal Democrats have increased their majority to 8 following the election on Thursday 5 May. They took an additional 7 seats. Labour won 11 seats in total.
Dorothy Thornhill, elected Mayor of Watford said: "We are pleased to have the endorsement for the work we have done for Watford, and our vision for the future of Watford. We will now work hard with our partners to make Watford an even better place to live."
The turnout was 36.7 per cent.
