Watford residents travelling to and from Watford’s network of Welcoming Spaces can do so for free thanks to ArrivaClick and Watford Borough Council.
ArrivaClick, the on-demand transport service operated by Arriva UK Bus and subsided by the council, will provide free ‘street to street’ minibus services to warm hubs across the town to support local people through the ongoing cost of living emergency.
Amid raising energy bills and hikes to the cost of goods, Watford’s Welcoming Spaces provide light relief with the offer of a warm space and good company. All spaces are free to attend, safe and open to all.
Passengers can book the free service via the ArrivaClick app which can be found by searching ‘ArrivaClick Watford’ in the Apple or Google Play stores or at arrivabus.co.uk/arrivaclick/arrivaclick-watford. For free rides, passengers can use the code WELCOME22.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor said: “I am proud that we have been able to work with local organisations to create a range of warm and welcoming spaces. Thanks to this ArrivaClick offer we can now make sure that everyone who needs to access the Welcoming Spaces is able to. Nobody should be cold this winter and we want to make sure we do everything we can to help deal with the cost of living emergency.”
