Watford Borough Council is working with E.ON to improve home energy efficiency...
We have sent letters to selected properties that may typically qualify for free works to improve insulation and lower fuel costs. Those homes on lower incomes and with poor energy efficiency could qualify for free works such as wall insulation.
If you have received a letter or think that you may qualify for the scheme, please do give E.ON a call on 0333 202 4422 or email EonLedProjects@eonenergy.com. If you email, please don’t forget to include your name, address and contact details. Funding is limited and on a first come first served basis, so don’t delay.
For homes that do not qualify, there are still grants and loans available for home insulation improvements for all suitable homes in the borough, regardless of your income. In the first instance, please phone E.ON to see if you qualify for the free Watford scheme and if not they can give you details of the other funding available.
The council is committed to helping residents improve the energy efficiency of their homes to save money. Improvements will help keep you warmer and reduce the carbon emissions of the borough. E.ON is one of the partners that have access to Energy Company Obligation funding (ECO) to support residents in this partnered project.
