Everyone is invited to Watford’s outdoor gyms for free sessions on how to use the equipment, led by a qualified coach.
Starting from today, attendees will be taught how to exercise on the free runner, sit up bench, flexi wheeler, body flexer and cross trainer during the fun and informal sessions.
Sessions will be held in Goodwood Recreation Ground on Mondays, Woodside Playing Fields on Tuesdays, Holywell on Wednesdays, Oxhey Park on Thursdays and Meriden Park on Fridays. Each of the sessions start at 9.30am and will last an hour, running from 2 February until 27 March.
The sessions will return to the same parks on the same days at the same times just in time for summer – from 20 April to 31 July. During that period, when the days are longer and the evenings lighter, there will also be hour-long sessions from 6.30pm.
Watford’s Elected Mayor Dorothy Thornhill said: “Outdoor gyms are a great free way to keep fit. Outdoor gyms are suitable for adults of all ages and fitness levels, and you don’t need any experience to use them. You can get as much out of the sessions as you want – they are for everyone, whatever their fitness level!”
