Big Screen is back!
From 8 until 21 August, Watford Borough Council’s Big Screen will return once again to Knutsford Playing Fields and Woodside Playing Fields (8-14 August at Knutsford Playing Fields, 15-21 August at Woodside Playing Fields), showing some of the world’s cinematic favourites.
Screenings will include blockbusters such as Avengers: Infinity War, Dune, Uncharted and Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as swinging rhythmic masterpieces like Hairspray, Chicago and West Side Story. If you’re looking for something a bit more refined, there will be showings of Downton Abbey, Chaplin and The Great Gatsby, alongside well-known family classics like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, E.T, The Mask and The Italian Job.
Little ones can immerse themselves in the fantastical musical worlds of Encanto, Sing 2 and Beauty and the Beast, or embark on incredible adventures alongside the characters of Lego Movie 2, Toy Story 4 and The Good Dinosaur.
There will also be food and drinks vendors at each site, stocked full of various delicious treats and cooling drinks to help you get as comfortable as possible and relax into the cinematic experience. The event is free and booking isn’t required, so all you need to do is turn up with blankets or chairs, and chill out. Big Screen is part of Watford Borough Council’s Big Events Programme, a series of sensational summer events for residents and non-residents alike.
